In one hand, “Internet of things (IOT) is a network of physical objects. The internet is not only a network of computers, but it has evolved into a network of device of all type and sizes “according to Patel, K.K. and Patel, S.M., (2016) or in simple words it is communication between a group of devices. connected to the Internet These devices differ as they can be anything capable of process orders from computers.

In the other hand AI is the ability of a software to do tasks that are usually performed by humans to control robots or computers (PK, F.A., 1984). When these two concepts meet, it forms what is called Internet of Intelligent Things which is the use of AI in the internet of things (Chen, Y. and Hu, H., 2013).

According to Business Insider (2019), there will be more than 64 billion IoT devices by 2025, up from about 9 billion in 2017. That shows an increase in interest in this field especially after the use of AI like Siri, which made a significant progress as it organizes the work and it make giving commands easy. From a technical point of view, artificial intelligence programs that enable it to develop, such as Machine Learning, which allows the Internet of things to develop and find easier and faster ways, or programs that allow it to communicate, such as voice recognition or artificial intelligence that makes receiving orders easier and enables it to give more accurate orders (Nathani, B. and Vijayvergia, R., 2017).

Survey Analysis: Continued

 This blog post connects the dots between the demographics and the rest of the survey questions  (Demographic Analysis). Did you know about IoT before? That was the first question I asked. I found that more than half of the respondents (65%) knew about the internet of things or knew what it was. This indicates that IoT is becoming more and more popular.  Also, I asked my participants if they knew how it works? 12 out of 20 people were able to answer that they knew how the internet works, as expected from computing students  in the next graph, I have asked people if they have used one of the Internet of things devices. 50% of the answer was no as people didn't use any of the devices.
